Joe Gumpper, Nina Merulla, and Renny Tallman formed Chordial out of a love for playing and having fun.  They originally met as teaching colleagues and over the years and have grown together as friends.

The idea for Chordial came when discussing performance venues.  It seemed unfortunate that different genres of music seemed so tied to space and instrumentation.  Who wouldn't enjoy Mozart more with a beer in hand?  Why not play the "rebellious" music of youth in a different way than intended, just because?  And so the idea was born.  

Spend some time with us as you wish.  Listen closely if you want, or talk with your friends.  Have a beer (more than likely we will too), or get something to eat.  Help us break the limits of time, space, and instrumentation.  If it feels fun, it IS fun!
